Description
Nestlé Research Center (NRC) located near Lausanne, Switzerland is one of the leading research laboratories in food and nutritional sciences. To support its research strategy, the Food Science & Technology Department at the NRC is seeking a Technician Materials Science and Physical Characterization, who will work within the Solid Products group.

Main responsibilities:
· Development of new analysing techniques in collaboration with scientists.
· Building and validation of process-related characterization tools.
· Data analysis and interpretation. Reporting on experimental methods and results.
· Liaison with external contractors and suppliers to source and maintain equipment.
Required profile:
· Technical diploma (apprenticeship, HES or equivalent) in physics or chemistry with a specialization in food science and technology, chemical engineering, physical chemistry, materials science or polymer science.
· Knowledge in physical analysis techniques (including rheology, calorimetry, powder characterization techniques) with an interest in modern food research.
· Working experience with foods would be an advantage.
· Experience and/or interest in development, setup and adaptation of laboratory equipment would be an advantage.
· Fluent written & spoken in French and good knowledge of English.
· Computer skills.
