After Sales Service Technician – Europe
Reporting to the INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICES MANAGER, this position is ideally suited to a “hands on” engineer, capable of working on his own initiative, or with little supervision. Understanding of mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems are desirable although full training will be supplied at our workshops in Thailand. The role requires working with the owner/operator of the equipment, either at their factory or on-site to provide a range of services as detailed below:-
• Installation and commissioning of BARTEC/GRIPTEC equipment, • Provide recommendations on the location, positioning of the equipment, working racks, services etc • Installation & commissioning of the equipment supplied from our workshops in Thailand or from other sites around the world for the full range of product to be produced • Providing operational training & issue of training certificate, operational manuals & obtain copies of signed documents for DM records. • Provide training to site support maintenance staff, appropriate to their level of ability, including recommendations on PM, spare parts & consumables stocks etc.
• Troubleshooting/ Servicing/ Repair Missions • Perform a full audit of equipment condition on arrival at site, • Identify the problem, its cause and carry out required repair/servicing work to bring equipment back to full working order, • Provide report to customer on problem, cause, repair and any recommendations on elimination of the problem or preventive maintenance routines that should be initiated or followed up on.
• General requirements • Provide written Weekly Reports, Technical Reports, Equipment Audit Reports and monthly Activity Reports to the International Customer Service Manager in Thailand. • Identify recurrent equipment problems, investigate & recommend improvements • Keep accurate records of all expenses during missions • Follow up on technical issues, equipment assembly, design, improvement, keep informed of any/all developments in equipment or components used • Complete additional tasks as directed by management
• Location – Based at our offices in Paris, France, mainly coving sites and factories in Europe but also may require visits to the Middle East, India, America & SEA if required.
• Requirements – the right candidate should process the following skills:- • Ability to communicate in English & French, both written & spoken is necessary • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering • Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Internet, Email • Proven track record (5 years minimum) in repair, servicing & diagnostics on Mechanical, Electrical and Hydraulic equipment.
