Worldwide Energy Logistics is a freight forwarding agent based in London specialised in the oil and gas industry. We cover all modes of transport (roadfreight, airfreight, seafreight) and we can provide charter services for sea and air. We offer complete door to door services to West Africa (Nigeria, Angola, Mauritania&), North Africa (Libya, Tunisia, Algeria&) and the CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan&).

The company is looking for an Operation Executive for its busy Operation Department.

The candidate should be fluent in english with a first experience in the freight industry. He should be familiar with shipping documentation (bill of lading, airwaybill, customs entry&)

Responsibilities:

All day to day operational issues
Increasing sales and profitability
Quality and customs satisfaction in all operations
Administration
Any matters relating to the successful development of new business and the retention of existing clients. To avoid any matter or situation, which may undermine or compromise your position and/or which may bring the Company, employee, clients or subcontractors into disrepute.
To keep the Company abreast of all key developments within the industry through regular reporting to Management as well as pro-active initiatives.

Duties:

To ensure 100% compliance with all laws and regulations, which effect the Company, including but not limited to: Security, Taxation, Health & Safety, Environmental, employment and finance.
To conduct yourself in a manner and communicating with them in a manner which you yourself would wish to be communicated in.
To ensure all aspects of the operations are maintained within the framework of our quality system and that for each eventuality, we have a contingency plan in place.
To ensure that each file, wherever possible, carries a minimum 15% gross profit margin, and where this is not the case to report to Management for approval.
To continually analyse costs and overheads and whenever possible minimise these.
To be pro-active in dealing with clients by telephone and encouraging staff to do likewise.
To lead by example.
New business reports (sales) detailing new accounts and prospective accounts,.
Administration feedback, failings, efficiencies, improvements etc&..
To ensure that whenever you are absent from the office that staff are properly equipped to handle any work that may arise and that they are in regular contact with yourself.
In addition to these duties the employee agrees to carry out such other duties a may reasonably required.
