In order to reinforce our Sales Tech. Expenses/TS Business we are looking for a Laboratory technician- Quality coordinator. This position is based in Geneva.

Job description:
The function consists in running experiments, which includes processing of rubber compounds, characterization of the material rheology and physical properties. It is expected to run complex equipment to evaluate the material performance in demanding conditions with a good understanding of the equipment capabilities. The person will be part of team of technicians and chemists, who require a close collaboration and team work with the other members in order to successfully achieve our goal. The job will require to occasionally develop new tests or techniques to evaluate specific properties or be involved in larger project (ie: equipment renewal).

Key responsibilities:
• Manages, prioritizes and executes day-to-day complex laboratory tasks or equipment operations, expeditiously and cost-effectively.
• Has broad technical skills and uses them effectively in new situations, including in the area of instrumentation.
• Ability to select the best experimental technique to obtain appropriate results for non-routing testing
• Demonstrates leadership within group of technicians
• Occasionally develops experimental methods to address new questions or customer requirement
• Plans, organizes complex tasks with minimal guidance
• Promotes & encourage team work
• Issue reports adequate for internal or external distribution
• Demonstrates initiative to ensure and consolidate the success of the organization
• Part of the role will be dedicated to insure we fulfill the requirement for the quality system

Qualifications:
• Key competencies required for the position
• University degree, ideally in physical measurements, lab physics and instrumentation (ie: “BTS or DUT in mesures physiques” or equivalent)
• Knowledge & experience in quality management system would be an asset for his career development.
• Experience:
• Recently graduated with 1-2 year(s) experience in a similar field or production environment
• Language:
• Fluent in English & French, other European languages would be an asset
